Zoya Solanki, played by Sonam Kapoor, works at a top advertising agency and loves everything about her job. She is excited about an upcoming ad shoot with none other than the superstar of Bollywood and her favorite actor Shahrukh Khan. However at the nth hour, another ad shoot is scheduled with Zoya at Dhaka, which will be shot with the Indian Cricket team. Zoya who loved everything about her job is now beginning to doubt their choices as she hates cricket. Having been left with no choice, she flies to Dhaka.
When she meets the Indian Cricket team she begins to hate the team captain Nikhil Khoda, played by Dulquer Salmaan as he is a strict disciplinarian. He makes her stay on a couple of more days, which results in Zoya missing her chance to meet Shahrukh Khan. Meanwhile, the cricket team learns that Zoya was born on the day India won its first World Cup in 1983. Moreover whenever they have breakfast with her, the team achieves unbelievable victories. They declare her a lucky charm from then on. The Indian cricket team is suddenly basking in the glory of wins from everywhere and Zoya is called a ‘Devi’ for her the luck she brings.
The movie is directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Fox Star Studios. The music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
