Actor Sanjay Dutt's Song written by him in the Jail is to be used in his upcoming film 'Torbaaz'.
A song penned by the veteran actor Sanjay Dutt while he was in Yerwada Jail will be used for his upcoming film,' Torbaaz'.
In the film Sanjay Dutt will play the role of an Army Officer in the film directed and written by Girish Malik. An action thriller film set in Afghanistan about the true reality of how young children are being trained to become suicide bombers and are brainwashed into believing that Killing is a Virtue and that is glory after life.
Girish Malik had been to Agra on the sets of Sanjay Dutt's shooting for his comeback film ' Bhoomi' when he was humming the song that he had penned while he was in the jail. The recorded version of the song was 'O Meri Aangan Ki Chidiya Hai Tu' is about a father and daughter relationship and is relevant to the film wherein Sanjay Dutt's character loses his child. The writer director Girish Malik is said to have got very emotional hearing the lyrics of the song and requested Sanjay Dutt if he could use the song for his film, Torbaaz and the veteran actor immediately agreed, informed Rahul Mitra the producer of the film.
Sanjay Dutt had written down many songs of different genre and including qawwalis and romantic lyrics when he was in Yerwada Jail and the song compositions were so many that he could actually have developed his own music album . Sanjay Dutt had once also lent his voice for a couple of his films, ' Khubsoorat', ' Aye Shivani' and for the title track of the film by David Dhawan's ' Chal Mere Bhai' and 'Samjho Ho Hi Gaya' in Lage Raho Munna Bhai were among the few that he had sung.
