Rajkummar Rao is going to play the role of a International fugitive and involved in the Pearl's murder covers host of terrorist activities including that of 26/11.
A lot of research has been put in this film as to why terrorists are born and what is the mind set they have and the truth could be more murky and cold . Omar Sheikh came from a privileged background and has a character that is totally diverse and the story was told to the director way back in 2005 by actor Mukul Dev and he was keen to make this film before the film Shahid was released but the script required many changes in midst of their finalisation and therefore delayed to 2017.
In this film, Rajkummar Rao plays the role that is totally different from the character he played in Shahid and the actor is open to suggestions and completely surrenders to the role . The outcome is completely an original one. In this film he plays the role of an anti-hero and tried to be as close to get the right shade of the character which will be extremely cold and aloof. Rajkummar Rao said its a challenging role.
The film is of different kind and may invite censorship troubles and the makers are prepared to face it. Hansal Mehta went on to explain that the film is about terrorists who have indulged in cold blooded violence and do not belong to any particular religion and that religion is just an excuse and that he produced this film to prove a healthy debate and not a controversy.
The film is a political thriller that deals with such radical groups like nexus and syndicates that essays the hand in glove political power to create this unrest . The film he has in mind is basically to educate the people and to make them understand the entire system.
