Amit Behl studied acting. He started his acting in College Theatre. Later worked in a professional theatre in Mumbai & Delhi. Later he joined Shri Ebrahim Alkaz’s Living Theatre Academy of Drama.
Amit Behl started his career in 1994 in Shanti which was India's first daily soap. He has done 100 TV Serials in Hindi, English, Marathi, Punjabi & Urdu.
He has also done serials like Buddha on Zee TV, Savitri on Life OK. Have worked in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat and Pradhanmantri. Also been seen in Balaji Telefilms in a daily soap opera Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki on Colors TV.
Later continued in arts, radio, theatre, television and films. He has acted in more than 30 films in Hindi & English films. Has done advertising films & also done dubbing for foreign language.
He has been seen acting in all possible channels like Colors, Life OK, MTV, Channel V, Hungamma, Zee next, ETV etc.
He is the "Senior Joint Secretary" of CINTAA (Cine & TV artistes association) since 2015.
