"Anil Kapoor has on rare occasions contributed to the soundtracsk of his films as a singer. One of his first playback songs was the for the title track of his 1986 film Chameli ki Shaadi . the song was comic in nature and depicted the love story of Chameli and her lover Charandas played by Kapoor. Chameli was portrayed by Amrita Singh. In the same decade his name was on the credit for the Song, “Tere Bina Main Nahin Mere Bina Tu Nahin’ from the film Woh 7 Din in which he starred opposite to Padmini Kolhapure. He has also credited for the song, I love you from Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. In 2008, Anil Kapoor provided rhyme-like dialogue to introduce his character in Yashraj’s film Tashan.His theme was titled ‘ Bhaiyaji Ka Tashan interestingly his co-stars in the film also had their introduction incorporated on the soundtrack which was composed by Vishal-Shekhar. He also had one full album ‘ Welcome’ as a Co-singer with Salma Agha in 1986 . The album was scored by Bappi Lahiri. Anil Kapoor made an appearance as himself in the ad for the Upcoming Angry Birds Friends tournament Champions for Earth. He is currently starring in the lead role of Jai Singh Rathod in the Indian Remade series of’’24’reportedly for the rights for the American TV success, he has acquired it for an Amount INR 1 billion. It took him 1.5 years to license the rights to create and Indian Rendition of the Popular TV shows. He has produced his first film in 2002 . Badhaai Ho Badhaai. In 2010 he produced Aisha starring his daughter Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol in the lead roles. The film performed moderately at the Box office grossing Rs.155 million in the run. "

Anil Kapoor made his debut in films as a 15 year old in 1971 with Shashi Kapoor in Tu Payal Mein Geet, playing the role of the young Shashi Kapoor. The film however did not realize theatrically. So not many have heard or seen this film .

He did few more releases like Calcutta Mail , Musafir, My Wife’s Murder which he also produced and Anees Bazmee’s super hit film No-Entry in 2005, which became the highest grossing film of the year. He was also in the film Bewafaa in 2005 with Kareena Kapoor and Sushmita Sen who plays a grey character with finesse followed by his role in the thriller film Chocolate and his first release in 2007. Salaam-E-Ishq a tribute to Love was a box office hit in the overseas entertainment segment though a flop in India. . His film ‘ Welcome’ was declared as the Biggest successful film of the year. What followed were his understated performance in the films, Black and White by Subhash Ghai and Abbas-Mustan’s thriller film, ‘Race’, both were on top at the Box office. Vijay Krishna Acharya’s film Tashan marked Anil Kapoor’s comeback to Yashraj Films but failed to do well at the Box office. His most recent films were his first English Language film Slumdog Millionaire which was released in 2008 and a worldwide acclaimed film. Followed by Yuvraaj Slumdog Millionire won him number of International Awards and received reviews from critics.. This film costed only US 15 million to prduce but pulled out $352 Million worldwide . In 2009 he attended the 66th Golden Globe Awards Ceremony along with the team of Slumdog Millionaire which won the four Golden Globe Awards ."
