Nakuul Mehta did his schooling from Jamnabai Nursee School, Juhu and completed his Master of Commerce from Mumbai University and went on to be trained in dance forms such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Folk Dance, Salsa and contemporary.  He is also trained in Ballroom dancing, having learned from India’s foremost Ballroom teacher and Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar.     Nakuul had represented Maharashtra in the All India Dance Sports Federation in the year 2011.   He had won the silver medal for his Latin Ballroom category and a gold medal in the Standard Ballroom category.

Nakuul made his debut with the television in the year 2012 in a role of Aditya Kumar in Star Plus’s Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara and as Shivaay Singh Oberoi in Ishqbaaz.

He has done many commercials, music videos and has been associated with theatre for a very long time.    The actor has been juggling between his modelling career and the television. 

He made his debut in Bollywood films with Haal E Dil opposite Amita Pathak, directed by  Anil Devgan and has appeared in short film Avant Grande which has been showcased at the film festivals across the globe in the year 2015.  

Mehta has also hosted India’s Got Talent 6. He acted in the web series called, I Don’t Watch TV which has been published on the platform Arre, produced by Timbuktu Films. The first series received lot of positive feedback and ranged among the top five shows on the list of various publications and websites.  It is a mockery on the Indian television industry and stars Bollywood Film critic Rajeev Masand

Between the years 2016 and 2019,  Nakuul Mehta played Shivaay Singh Oberoi opposite Surbhi Chandna for Ishqbaaz after which he appeared in the show’s Spin-off, Dil Boley Oberoi.   Mehta’s show is Gangster Newton which will has been released and the series talks about the underworld show.

His most recent is Zindagi in Short released in February 2020 comprises of seven short films showcasing different stories , directed by a host of directors, produced by Guneet Monga for the production company Sikhya Entertainment.  The Hindi language anthology film will be showcased for Flipkart Original Video.

His debut in Bollywood film Abhimaani in 2005 was a major flop.
