i">Disha debuted with the Telugu film ‘Loafer’ opposite Varun Tej in 2015 I, directed by Puri Jagannadh and was produced by C. Kalyan under C. K Entertainment.  n which she plays the role of Mouni the girl the main character.  Thereafter she appeared in a music video with Tiger Shroff for title, ‘Befikra’ which was produced for the T-Series by Bhushan Kumar and Krishnan Kumar.

But she rose to fame with her role as Priyanka Jha in the biopic film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016 by Neeraj Pandey,  based on the story of the ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team along with actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Kiara Advani. She plays the first pivotal role of his girlfriend who dies in a car accident.  The film was produced by Fox Star Studios. The film did extremely well and hit the highest grossing film and proved to emerge both Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Patani in the limelight.  Both she and Sushant  were accepted widely for their roles and her name deserved to be mentioned specially for her performance as Priyanka.

She undertook Martial Arts training for the film ‘Kung Fu Yoga’, the Indo-Chinese film with Jackie Chan in 2017 with co-star Sonu Sood.

She has walked the ramps for the established fashion designers along with her career in acting .

Disha’s role in Baaghi 2 along with Tiger Shroff for its sequel hit of Baaghi was with Shraddha Kapoor and was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sabbir Khan. The film grossed worldwide.

She, thereafter in the year 2018 acted in the film Welcome to New York in which she plays herself in a cameo role.

Disha has signed another film named ‘ Bharat’ by Ali Abbas Zafar to be released in 2019 and the film is still in its making.

Disha won the 2016 Screen Award for the Best Female  Debut and also in the same year won the same award from Stardust  Award for the Best Acting Debut in the female category. She then won the 2017 IFA for best debut actress.

She also won the Big Zee Entertainment awards for her role in M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story for most entertaining Debut(Female).

Disha was nominated for her Baaghi 2 at the Lux Golden Rose Awards for the Breath through Beauty of the Year Award.
