Divyanka Tripathi started her career with her debut in the telefilm for Doordarshan. She had presented a show called Akash Vani. In 2005, she acted in a Star one’s Yeh Dil Chahe More as Payal followed by Viraasat as Melanie in 2006. In August the same year, Divyanka was roped in dual roles of Vidya and Divya for which she had received recognition for the pair. She was onscreen paired with Sharad Malhotra. In 2017, she went on to become the first Indian television actress to be popular on Forbes Celebrity 100 List which was based on the income and the popularity of the star celebrity ranking to 96th.

The show premiered in December 2013 and ran successfully for six years until it ended around the end of 2019. Her portrayal of Ishita won many awards and nominations such as Indian Telly Awards for Best Actress in the Lead Role. The Lions Gold Award for the Best Actress in the Lead Role.
