Karishma Tanna began her career at the young age of 17 years Karishma Tanna is born and brought up in Mumbai. She did her graduation from Mumbai’s most popular Sydehnam College. It is reported during Nach Baliye Patel proposed to Tanna and it seemed the two would tie the auspicious nuptial knot but reports of their break up surfaced soon after. Karishma Tanna in an interview clarified, “Upen is wonderful person and we two were really in love with each other but we found our future hazy due to the relationship hence we parted away for the sake of our careers and scarified our love.”

Her other popular TV serial include Naagarjuna – Ek Yodha, Bal Veer, etc and reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Comedy Circus etc. In fact she became such a craze in Bigg Boss on Color TV that she appeared not once but thrice. First in Bigg Boss 8 (2014-15) in which she was champion and followed it by Bigg Boss Halla Bol (2015) in which she was First Runner –Up and Bigg Boss -10 as a Guest performer! Karishma Tanna’s Bollywood journey After initial disappointments in Bollywood and the subsequent success on the small screen, Karishma Tanna made another attempt in Bollywood in 2005 when she got a small but significant role in popular filmmaker Suneel Darshan’s film Dosti: Friends Forever in 2005 starring a galaxy of top stars like Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Juhi Chawla but alas the film failed miserably and Karishma Tanna had to go down South to try her luck. Down South she did a Kannada film - I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona in 2011 but again luck did not favor her. but that didnt stop Karishma Tanna to continue with her struggle. In an interview she said she does feel disappointed that her career in Bollywood hasnt shaped up well despite having good talents and personality she is not able to get the best of roles that she deserve. Nevertheless she has consoled herself that she is happy with whatever she has achieved and she will continue to find a place in Bollywood Industry .
