Preeti has acted in several South Indian Films . As of date she has acted in over 30 films including the Regional films. She has been a part of many ad films to her credit.

Preeti Jhangiani was born in Mangaore in Karnataka state in a Sindhi speaking family. The family later moved to Mumbai. She studied in St.Xavier's College in Ahmedabad and is fluent in English, Hindi, Sindhi, Punjabi , Kannada, Tamil and Malayalm. Being a linguist who tried to master the regional languages, she has featured in many films in various Indian languages.

Preeti Jhangiani is the daughter of Gobind Jhangiani and Manika Jhangiani. She is married to the actor Parvin Dabas whom she married in 2008. The couple has a son named Jaivesh born in 2011. They live in the posh suburbs of Bandra. Preeti made her first appearance in a music video by Rajshri productions titled, ' Chhuimui Sei Tum Lagti Ho...for the album ' Yeh Hai Prem' with a South Indian actor Abbas. The video was a hit which paved her way to the film industry as she got two offers soon after for the film in Malayalm and Telugu. The music video also made the koala symbol popular and she went on to do a few advertising commercials like the Nirma soap and Sandal Wood Soap ads. Preeti had started receiving many offers for acting in films but before she could take up any offer , she fell seriously ill and suffered weight loss and due to consumption of lot of antibiotics she had to regain the look which had drained out due to her illness. She lost out on some major offers during that period. Formerly she was engaged to Mushtaq , brother of filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala but they ended their alliance and she later got married to Parvin Dabas in 2008. Preeti Jhangiani is one of the very few girls with a classic dream girl face and the young starlet won many hearts and broke a few when she rode off with her prince charming, Parvin Dabas.

Preeti Jhangiani signed her first film in Malayalam , " Mazhavillu" alongside of the Malayalam film actor Kunchacko Boban. The actress made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with 'Mohabbatien' in which she is a the love interest of Jimmy Shergill who was besotted by her in the film.! Preeti looked every bit of beauty that she is , innocent childlike and fresh in the film . A girl who is demure and charming and won everyone's heart in the role of a young widow. The film launched her successfully to a career in Bollywood. The film went on to be the blockbuster with a multistar cast with stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Her next flick was the comedy film, "Awara Paagal Deewana" in which she stars opposite actor Akshay Kumar. A remake of the English film, The Whole Nine Yards in the year 2002. Directed by Vikram Bhatt . The film went on to be one of the highest grosser in Hindi films for that year. The film was made lavishly with lot of exotic picturizations on the songs with stunts and actions by Akshay Kumar and comical scenes by Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever for which the film gained it's popularity to become a top on the chart film. Preeti also acted in Punjabi films such as as Sajna Ve Sajna. In 2012 the actress made a comeback in the film industry after enjoying the bliss of matrimony and the new motherhood she had attained. Her last assignment was in a short film called , ' The Masterpiece' directed by Tanmay Singh. The film is just an half an hour film but Preeti has a solo cast role. She has a role of a fading actress to play. She did many roles after that for Hindi cinema as well as the, Punjabi, Bengali and South Indian films. Some of the films she did in Hindi were, Ssukh , Mohabbatien, Chehraa, Waah Tera Kya Kehna, Jaanne Hoga Kya , Awara Paagal Deewana, Chand Ke Paar Chalo, Victoria No. 203, Annarth, With Love Tumhara, Na Tum Jaano Na hum in a special appearance , LOC Kargil in which she has a cameo role. Most of these films except for a few she had small roles and supporting roles but as an actress with a pretty face and her screen presence she was noticed every time and praised for.
