Riva Kishan born in a Brahmin family is the daughter of actor Riva Kishan , being a daughter of the actor she always wanted to be in the film line and join Bollywood. She got her initial training from her father and then one year training from Naseeruddin Shah’s acting playgroup.
Riva is fond of dancing and has got herself trained under Terence Lewis at the Professional Training Institute (TLPTI) in Mumbai. Her other passion is travelling.
Out of the four siblings, only Riva had the inclination and interest to join films.
She went to USA to train at the Acting Corporation Institute.
Her father Riva Kishan is the current member of parliament for the Lok Sabha in Gorakhpur.
Riva Kishan did a role with Naseeruddin Shah’s daughter Heeba in a play called, ‘ Parindo Ki Mefhil’.
She was first offered a role produced by Nitin Manmohan and coincidentally her father Riva Kishan was also offered his first debut role by Nitin Manmohan.
In 2020 Riva will make her debut in Bollywood in the film; ‘Sab Khushal Mangal’ produced by Prachi Nitin Manmohan starring opposite in the lead role with Priyank Sharma, son of actress Padmini Kolhapure and producer Pradeep Sharma. The film was based on situation comedy. Akshaye Khanna is also a part of this 45 days shoot. She had liked the script and immediately agreed to be a part of the film. Riva is excited to accept this role which she got when she was on her travel in Los Angeles and London . The story is of a love triangle and how Akshaye Khanna is the goon in the film who falls in love with Riva ! The film released in January 2020.
