Acting is in her genes with some of the top stars as her extended family besides her own parents, she is the niece of Anil Kapoor, cousin to Janhvi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. It is no wonder her heart is also set to be an actress in Bollywood.
Shanaya is the daughter of Actor Sanjay Kapoor and actress Maheep Sandhu. Shanaya went to Ecole Mondiale School, one of the most prestigious schools in Mumbai. Has one younger brother Jahaan Kapoor.
Shanaya will be launched in her debut film Bedhadak produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Karan Johar. The film is love triangle in the rom-com space based on the new era love, passion and intensity, also starring, the new entrants in the film Industry, the suave co-stars Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzad and is directed by Shashank Khaitan.
Shanaya along with the other two entrants attended several acting workshop before signing the film. Earlier this year, Shanaya’s debut poster with the lead trio was announced, introducing her as the gorgeous Shanaya, an enchanting energy she brings on to the screen. Midst of the shoot, Shanaya has been spotted at dance rehearsals with her co –stars for the romantic film.
Shanaya was earlier seen on social media platforms as she was working as an assistant director in Janhvi Kapoor’s film Kargil Girl. She was seen in a short cameo in Netflix web series, The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives starring her mother Maheep Kapoor.
In a recent star-studded Halloween bash, Shanaya dressed up Anne Hathaway inspired from the film The Princess Diaries which was much talked about and well appreciated. She also had made a stunning debut at the Le Bal des Debutantes 2019 in Paris wherein Ananya Pandey and Isha Ambani attended it too. The 23 year old was seen in a red Lecoanet Hemant Gown with a plunging neckline that was a vision to behold and befitting for a perfect star to be.
Shanaya made her first appearance this year when she walked the Manish Malhotra at the Lakme Fashion Week 2022. An animal lover and active on social media, a few modelling assignments that she has done, this young girl is all set to rock the film industry.
