Zoya Afroz was born in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh . She did her schooling from R. N Shah High School and later attended Mithibai College in Vile Parle Mumbai. She became the winner of Pond's Femina Miss India Indore in 2013 and was later also crowned as Pond's Femina Miss India International in the same year at the 50th edition of Pond's Femina Miss India held at Yash Raj Studios. Zoya has thereafter worked in many films , serials and advertisements as a child artist.

Zoya's parents have been very supportive of her joining the film industry . The actress is said to be very close to her father.

Zoya began her career in television commercials such as Whirlpool, Shoppers Stop, Jet Airways, PSPO Fan and New York Life Insurance to name a few. There after her debut as a child artist was in the film, ' Hum Saath Saath Hain' by Rajshri Productions in which she plays the daughter to actress Neelam and in 'Kuch Naa Kaho' wherein the lead pair were Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. Both the films were very popular films and did well at the Box office. Zoya has a few films to her credit and has done films in Hindi, English and Tamil like the Sant Gyaneshwar, From Tia with Love which was an Englishfilm, Sadi Gali Aaya Karo in Punjabi, The Xpose in Hindi and she did her debut in Tamil film Endru Sol. In the film 'The Xpose' starring in the lead female role opposite Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Sngh and Sonali Raut. Besides acting in films, Afroz has been active in endorsing several brands and products including Pond's Face Wash. Zoya also did a short film opposite Amit Sadh for One Plus smartphone . Currently she is all set for her film , 'Sweetie Weds NRI' opposite Himansh Kohli.
