The 1999 action movie Hindustan Ki Kasam is a movie directed by Veeru Devgn. Ajay Devgn has appeared in a double role for the first time in this movie. The rest of the star cast features Amitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala, Farida Jalal, and Sushmita Sen. Kader Khan has done a cameo in Hindustan Ki Kasam. For a change, actors like Prem Chopra and Shakti Kapoor who are known for playing villains are doing positive roles. Storyline Of Hindustan Ki Kasam:
Talking about its story, a mother gives birth to twins and loses her husband who serves the country in the Indian Army. Unfortunately two twin brothers get separated at the time of birth, one grows up as a Hindu in India while the other grows up as a Muslim in Pakistan. Later they meet on opposite sides of the battlefield which is a plot of Hindustan Ki Kasam. The script of the movie was written by Janak-Hriday and dialogues were written by Tanveer Khan. The music composer of the movie is Sukhwinder Singh and lyrics are written by Anand Bakshi.

Initially Amitabh Bachchan's production company 'ABCL' was going to produce the movie, finally Veeru Devgn decided to direct the movie as well as produce it. Amitab Bachchan's character was written on the lines of a storyteller who was not a person of any particular religion and who spoke his mind.
When the movie was first announced in 1966, it was titled 'Hindustan' and featured Kajol in the female lead role. The movie started with Amitabh Bachchan, Sunny Deval, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Aditya Pancholi in the lead roles. Later the movie was made with Amitabh and Ajay with some changes in the story.
