Bollywood’s finest personality has been a film producer, television host and one of the most successful influential actors in the history of Indian Cinema. He is regarded as the Shahenshah of Bollywood and one of the greatest actor of the century. He has been given different titles such as Star of the Millennium or Big B and has been the leading actors the Hindi cinema has ever had. The French director Truffaut called him a ‘One Man Industry’. With such fame that he achieved over his career span in the film industry, it is no surprise as he gave hits after hits in every film.

journey in Bollywood. Let us talk about his first film Saat Hindustani.
He had begun his career with the film Saat Hindustani which he signed on 15th February 1969 and the film was released on 7th November 1969. The Indian Cinema with the entry of AmitabhBachchan had got a new talented artist amongst them. The film portrayed the heroic story of seven Indians who attempted to liberate Goa from the Portuguese colonial rule and had a multi star cast with A K Hangal, UtpalDutt, Madhu, Mehmood, and Amitabh who made his debut with this film, after which he had no looking back.
Amitabh’s dialogue and Hindi dialect of Allahabad is very popular and instantly became famous. Some of his dialogues are remembered by the audience till date. Tauba Kro Ji Yeh Arantu Parantu Ki Bhasha apne ke bas kin hi… was one of the famous dialogues of this super star. He had essayed the character of Anwar Ali And to play this role, Amitabh Bachchan had to work very hard.
His first break was given to him by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas the director and writer of this film. Not many would know that Amitabh was not his first choice for this film but few others were also in consideration and one of them was Tinu Anand who was first offered the role. Imagine Tinu Anand and Amitabh Bachchan were in the same league and today Amitabh Bachchan has moved ahead leaps and bounds in his career.
When Tinu Anand was getting finalized for the role in Saat Hindustani, Satyajit Ray sent a letter to Tinu Anand’s father asking him to send him to become his assistant. He could not refuse the offer and he apologized to Ahmad Abbas and excused himself and he suggested Amitabh Bachchan for the role and thus Amitabh Bachchan ended up doing the role , that was a life changing moment for the super star. In fact, Khwaja Ahmad Abbas was looking for a tall man to play this character and Amitabh Bacchhan fitted in perfect.
Today the superstar Amitabh Bachchan who is holding the hot seat in Kaun Banega Crorepati and offering crores of rupees to viewers, had earned his first fees of just Rs. 5 thousand in this film.
