The story is about two friends Ajay and Vijay. Both were small time robbers but very intelligent. They would cheat people with their sweet talks and in the process he also comes across his lost father. But the friendship doesn’t last long and due to some misunderstanding they both part ways as good friends.
During the shooting of this film Saira Banu the heroine of this film fell ill and Prakash Mehra had a long wait to complete this film as he waited until Saira Banu was completely recovered.
The Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna pair has been quite famous. Audience loved them together. Prakash Mehra signed both the actors for his film Muqaddar Ka Sikandar too.as he liked their screen presence together. Vinod Khanna had received the Best Supporting Actor nomination for this film.
