Arjit Taneja grew up in Delhi and belongs to a family of lawyers and is a Punjabi by birth. His grandfather was also a lawyer. He did his schooling from Modern School Barakhamba Road in Delhi and graduated in BA Degree in Computer Programming from the Delhi University.
In November 2010, he joined a modelling agency called the Elite Model Management India Pvt Ltd and he continued till 2012.. He had by then moved from Delhi to Mumbai and had made his debut in the television. .
Arjit is a fitness freak and hits the gym regularly and is fond of pets and enjoys non veg food and follows Hinduism.
Arjit was first seen in his roles as Purab Khanna in Kumkum Bhagya and Vivaan Kapoor in Kaleerein. In 2013, he appeared in the reality show MTV Split villa.
In 2012, He got his first role role in the V the Serial on Channel V wherein he plays the role of actor Karan Kundra’s best friend. In 2013 Arjit Taneja’s career began with his cameo role in the series Bade Acche Lagte Hain telecasted on Sony Entertainment Television.
He also had a role in Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do as Bilal Khan . He later bagged the lead role in Zee TV; s Kaleerein in 2018 .
In 2018, Arjit Taneja appeared in Zee TV Talk Show Juzz Baatt as a guest along with Sana Saeed, Adnan Khan and Karan Jotwani .. Arjit Taneja is in the lead role as Azaan Akhtar Mirza in the Bahu Begum on Colours TV in 2019- 2020 and has garnered praises for his performance in the tele serial.
