Fardeen Khan is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood who had a dream run in the mid 2000’s with a huge number of hits to his name. Khan had a prolific run in Bollywood with lead roles in major hits like Jungle, Heyy Babyy, No Entry and many more. Khan has also showcase her expertise in many numerous roles in the latter part of his career and also had in the past portrayed highly serious roles early on which itself is a testimony of the amazing potential in the actor.

Fardeen Khan was born into a reputed film family as the son of famous actor/director Feroz Khan and Sundari Khan. He is a member of the famous Khan clan which consist of actors like Sanjay Khan, Akbar Khan and Zayed Khan. Fardeen Khan after completing his schooling from Jamnabhai Narsee School went on to graduate in Business management from University of Massachusetts, USA. Subsequently to his passion for acting Khan enrolled at Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute to study acting, after which he went on to make his debut in Hindi cinema in the year 1998.

Fardeen Khan is married to Natasha Madhvani for eleven years now after their wedding on 2005; she is the daughter of yesteryear Hindi actress Mumtaz Madhvani and businessman Mayur Madhvani. The couple has a daughter Diana Isabella Khan. Khan was also in the year 2001 remanded by Narcotics Control Bureau for custody of drugs, but was later acquitted being innocent of the charge.

Film Debut and subsequent movies ( 1998 – 2002) Fardeen Khan made his film debut in romantic movie Prem Aggan, the project helmed by his father Feroz Khan saw Fardeen Khan pairing with Meghna Kothari in the lead. Although the movie failed to create much fuzz , it turned out to be fruitful for Khan with him being awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut in that year in 1998. Ram Gopal Varma was next in line to cast him as the male lead in his thriller Jungle where he appeared along with Urmila Matondkar and Suniel Shetty playing the antagonist. The movie saw Khan playing “Sidhu” a man who is left to save his lover from a group of bandit kidnappers after a serious turn of events, when the group leader starts developing feelings for her. The movie opened to rave reviews and also had a strong box office run and went on to be Khan’s first hit in his career. He was next seen sharing screen yet again with Urmila Matondkar and Sonali Kulkarni in the romantic thriller Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, where Khan’s performance was mostly subdued by Urmila Matondkar’s towering screen presence and show stealing act, the movie panned out to be huge hit further adding on to Khan’s popularity. After rather cold outing’s in the ensemble comedy Love Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega, Hum Ho Gaye Aap ke and Kitne Door Kitne Paas, the year 2001 saw Khan returning to the winning ways with positive critical reactions for his matured performance in Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein with the movie also receiving good reviews. Busiest career phase ( 2003- 2004) Fardeen Khan was next seen among the lead in Anupam Kher’s directorial debut Om Jai Jagadish, where he appeared along with Anil Kapoor, Abishek Bachchan and Waheeda Rehman in the lead. Fardeen Khan was cast in place of ShahRukh Khan to play the character “Jai” who was initially approached to play the character along with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in place of Bachchan and Kapoor, but after the failure to secure the Khan trio the movie finally fell in to the hands of the original three and got mixed reviews mainly. The Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster Khushi too failed to get Fardeen Khan a much needed hit but later in the same year 2003 got a major break in Ram Gopal Varma’s supernatural thriller Bhoot, where he appeared in a vital supporting role in the Ajay Devgn starrer which wasa critical shit. Feroz Khan cast his son again in the lead along with him, for the action movie Janasheen, which had a good opening but fell prey to the other big release of the time Kal Ho Naa Ho and turned out to be a mediocre outing only with mostly negative reviews. Next up in 2004 he was seen in Govind Nihalani’s acclaimed social drama playing as an anguished young man “Farhaan Ali” who takes up on a fight with social injustice. The movie which had Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor too in the lead was nominated for many Awards that year. He then came up with an above average grosser in Fida along with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Long awaited blockbuster and follow up films ( 2005- 2008) The year 2005 kick-started on a high note for Khan as he was seen among the lead in the ensemble comedy of errors blockbuster No Entry, along with Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan and Bipasha Basu among others in the lead. The movie was a comic revelation for Khan as he was for most of his career seen in stuffy and serious roles, and the movie saw him coming up with an alight hearted performance for the first time. The movie turned out to be the top grosser of the year 2005 and got exemplary reviews for its entertaining screenplay and lead performances. After yet another comic stint in David Dhawan’s Shaadi No: 1, he went on to play lead in the crime thriller Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena along with his father once more in the latter part of 2005 which too failed to create a huge impact. Indra Kumar then cast him in the lead along with Vivek Oberoi and Esha Deol in the romcom Pyare Mohan, where Khan was seen playing a blind man for the first time . The movie was a sleeper hit and had average reviews. Recent films ( 2007-2010) Just Married was Khan’s first release of 2007, the Meghna Gulzar directorial had him pair with Esha Deol in the lead. The film narrated the story of five coupleson a honeymoon who goes through a series of relationship fluctuations and revelations. Heyy Babyy had Khan team up with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh for the very first time in his career. The super hit comic entertainer which told the story of three bachelor playboys living in an apartment who wakes up one day to find a baby on the doorstep bearing a note claiming it to be one of theirs and the ensuing comical turn of events, saw Khan playing one of the three lead men and yet gain got a chance to exhibit his comic sensibilities. The movie had a fabulous commercial run with encouraging reviews with the lead heroine Vidya Balan. Later the year Khan collaborated with his often cited partner in crime Ram Gopal Varma for his romantic thriller Darling opposite Esha Deol and Isha Koppikar in the lead. The movie was an above average outing for Khan and his next feature Jai Veeru repeated the similar fate of its predecessor. The movie which narrated the story of five strangers with a temporary memory loss who finds themselves locked up inside an acid factory with no way out. The experimental nature of the movie was highly appreciated by the critics and the movie was a subsequent critical super hit. Fardeen Khan then went on to act in his last three films , starting with the acclaimed comedy Life Partner which has a healthy commercial run and then went on to play one of the lead in Rohit Shetty’s Ajay Devgn starrer confusion comedy All The Best: Fun Begins, which went onto be a huge hit with superb critical reactions.
