Like his family legacy Rannvijay Singh was ready to join Army Rannvijay Singh comes from a patriotic family that has the legacy of serving Mother India for six generation either in Army, Navy or Air-force. His father served Indian Army and was a General. Due to his frequent shifting Rannvijay had to change as many as nine schools to acquire his education. He completed his class X from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan and graduation in commerce from Hans Raj College, University of Delhi. During his school days he was good at sports and wanted to become basketball player. But during college he developed passion for army. On completion of his graduation he gave Army examination and passed both written and physical test. In fact he had even cleared his medical test. In short he was ready to join army when destiny took a turn. A bike enthusiast since childhood Rannvijay had been a bike enthusiast since childhood. As he grew his obsession for bike became so passionate that he would secretly ride bikes of people from his locality. Soon his father got complaints and he bought him Hero Honda Splendor, a Sports bike at the age of 14 years. During college he rode a variety of bikes and today has a huge collection of bikes at home like - Suzuki GSX 600, Kawasaki Ninja, 225 CC modified, 50 CC Pocket bike and a Royal Enfield Bullet.

Well, after a rigorous training and stringent endurance test Rannvijay Singh was given a two month relaxation break and then asked to join Indian Army. During this break Rannvijay happened to watch a MTV advertisement about Roadies and the winner was to win a Hero Honda Karizma bike. Rannvijay Singh, who has a great passion for bike became restless to take part in the show and win the bike. He told his father that he wish to take part in TV show and win the bike and after winning the bike he will join Army. His father gave him freedom and Rannvijay participated in the show. Rannvijay Singh fulfilled his dream of being army men in the TV serial Pukar Though Rannvijay Singh could not become army men in real life but his ambition was fulfilled when film producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah gave him a powerful role of a Major Rajveer (played by Rannvijay Singh) and his fight against the powerful builders' mafia that controls Mumbai in his TV serial Pukar. When Rannvijay gave the news to his father that he is playing an army officer in TV serial he became emotional and blessed him. Rannvijay Singh had a rough phase in Bollywood Rannvijay Singh made his debut in Bollywood with Toss: A Flip of Destiny( 2009). Though the film was a major disaster but Rannvijay was spotted for his good looks and acting caliber and was roped in Bollywood by top filmmaker like Vipul Shah. Vipul Shah offered him a good role in his multi-starrer film London Dreams (2009) starring Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin and Action Replayy (2010) staring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai but tragically both the film were major flops. Despite these flops eminent parallel cinema filmmaker like Anurag Kashyup gave him a role in his film Mumbai Cutting (2010) and Nagesh Kukunoor in his film (2011) but unfortunately both these two films also failed to make impact at box office. Hence Rannvijay was labeled flop actor and had to move down Punjab and try luck in Punjabi cinema. He did few Punjabi films like Dharti (2011), Taur Mittran Di (2012) but was not able to create sensation even in Punjabi films. After failure in films Rannvijay moved to TV commercials After not being able to make a name in Bollywood or Punjabi cinema, Rannvijay decided to tap the commercial industry and did few hit commercials like the famous Reliance's Network commercial Mera vs Tera (Mine vs Yours) Campaign with actress Anushka Sharma. Impressed by the great chemistry of Rannvijay and Anushka, Reliance signed an exclusive contract with Rannvijay for all their future commercials and since then he has done mostly all the Reliance advertisements like Reliance unlimited talk time offer, Reliance's instant call connection commercial, Reliance making call at zero balance, Reliance Netconnect focusing on the mobile service provider's coverage in elevators, Reliance's postpaid plan etc.
