But to Ronit Roy’s fortune his debut film Jaan Tere Naam (1992) became a huge commercial hit and Roy was flooded with offers. Intoxicated by instant success Ronit Roy was on sky nine and in his intoxication he signed mindless films like 15 August, Sainik, Tahqiqaat, Bomb Blast, Hulchul , Jurmana, Army etc all the films were bitter failures and Ronit Roy was thrown out from the film industry. As Rishabh Bajaj, Ronit Roy stole thunder with his magnificent performance as callous yet urbane middle aged business tycoon. The role became such a craze that Ronit Roy’s role was extended and he was even replaced as Mihir Virani in the most popular TV serial of India, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He replaced the actor Amir Upadhyay. Soon he became TV industry’s Highest Paid actor after the hugely success of Dharamraj in the TV serial Bandini.
