A call girl named Julie is brutally murdered and no one has a clue as to who could have done this. Police officers Anil Sharma and Rajat Bedi are assigned the case and asked to investigate to catch hold of the killers. The first suspect is a politician who was staying with Julie. After Julie’s murder a series of other murders take place and the dead bodies are left with the number 2001 by the killer. The politician is then attacked and then hospitalized. Later he points his finger at Rajat as being the attacker. Soon Rajat is arrested but he finds evidence againt the police commissioner himself. Meanwhile he also finds substantial evidence against Anil.
The movie is directed by Raj Sippy and produced by Kiran Ramsay. The star cast includes Jackie Shroff, Rajat Bedi, Dimple Kapadia, Tabu, Suresh Oberoi, Deven Verma, Mohan Joshi, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Navneet Nishan, Sharat Saxena, Mukesh Khanna and Upasana Singh.
