Childhood memories sometimes have a lasting effect even in later life. Good memories might fade away but disturbing and malicious ones stay in the mind and deeply affect certain individuals and their functioning when they grow up. This is the main message in the film 30 minutes.
Shashank is a happy go lucky child who lives live on his own terms but his father doesn’t let his life be that way. His father is always in a hurry to get somewhere or finish a task and get very angry when time is not adhered to. So much is his obsession to be punctual that he beats his son Shashank balck and blue for not being able to be prompt in following time.
Every little occasion or activity is turned into a torturous affair because his father doesn’t like being late for anything. This behavior of the father has deep rooted effects on Shashank and carries on even later in life when he is a fully grown adult.
He works at a reputed MNC and meets a girl called Shilpa, played by Hrishitaa Bhatt in his office and the two start dating. He behaves very normal around most people and is seemingly a good employee but his mind is still disturbed from within. This fact of his abnormal thoughts comes to the fore when he decides to play an unusual game with Shilpa called 30 Minutes.
