A science professor Anirudh, played by Nishikant Kamath is strong believer of science and logic. Things that don’t have a scientific explanation don’t exist for him and are immaterial. He happens to hear of a student named Gaurav, who had committed suicide in the hostel room no.404 and the room is not said to be haunted by his spirit. He doesn’t pay much heed to the nonsense that all are talking and carries on his usual work.
Meanwhile a new student named Abhimanyu, played by Rajvvir Aroraa, who also doesn’t belive in ghosts and the paranormal, occupies the room no.404. However, due to this, the other students begin to bully him and he gets ragged on several occasions. Fed and frustrated with the bullying and ragging, Abhimanyu begins to now see visions of Gaurav in his room. He goes to prof. Anirudh and tells him about his visions and wanting to change his room but the prof stops him.
Later prof. Anirudh tells Abhimanyu that he was using him for his thesis and had asked the students to bully him on purpose. Abhimanyu feels betrayed and assures the prof that ghosts do exist. He apologizes to Abhimanyu and tells him to stop thinking of Gaurav as his ghost is just an imagination. Just then Abhimanyu takes the prof. to his room and shows him his body hanging from the fan, which means he was talking to his ghost all this while. The movie is directed by Prawaal Raman and produced by Nameeta Nair.
