A top National TV network has made many successful TV soaps and serials, but now wants to do something different. Thus, they plan to cash in on one of the biggest subjects of India’s rich culture, i.e. marriages. The channel asks its top filmmaker to produce the show while Asmi Ganatra, played by Juhi Chawla, is debuting as a director and finds a family that fits the bill perfectly for her show, that is the Joshis. The bride’s father is quite ok with the idea but the old guard is not really happy with it and refuses. Meanwhile the bride’s youngest uncle Manoj, played by Irrfan Khan starts to fall for Asmi.
While everything else is in place, Asmi has to convince the family to agree to her idea. She comes up with an idea where multiple cameras are installed around the house and activities are recorded. Manoj realizes that all the well-kept family secrets have now come out in the open and been recorded on the candid cameras. This will give the Channel their much needed high TRP ratings, but spell doom for the Joshi family.
The movie is written and directed by Ishaan Trivedi and produced by Nimit Modawal. The music is composed by Shantanu Moitra. The cinematography is by Attar Singh Saini.
