Arun, played by Vivaan Shah tells his wife Nandini, played by Konkana Sen Sharma that he had watched Susanna, played by Priyanka Chopra since an early age and had a crush on her. She funded his education and helped him a lot in life. She later committed suicide. But Arun has to confirm that the body he found is of Susanna. He narrates her story to his wife in detail. Susanna’s first husband Edwin, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh, is possessive and dominating. Being physically challenged, he mentally tortures her and cannot believe that she is faithful to him. She kills him during a hunting trip with assistance from her maid, stable boy and butler.
Her second husband Jimmy, played by John Abraham is a successful singer and this gets to his head. He becomes a womanizer and gets into drug addiction heavily. Her efforts to stop him have no effect and thus she kills him, making it look like a drug overdose. Her third husband Wasiullah, played by Irrfan Khan is a compassionate poet by day but turn into a sado-masochist by night. Unable to take his physical torture she kills him.
Her fourth husband is a Russian spy having another wife and kids and Susanna gets furious and kills him too. Her fifth husband Keemat is a police inspector and has an insatiable appetite for sex and love to take Viagra. Susanna mixes an overdose in a drink and gives it to him. Her sixth husband Tafaldar, saves from committing suicide and asks her to marry him and inherit his massive property. He later tries to kill her by poisoning her soup but her butler drinks it by mistake and he dies. Susanna then shoots Tafaldar. She sets home on fire to kill herself.
When Arun finds the burned dead body he realizes that it is of the maid and not of Susanna. He goes to Pondicherry and meets Susanna where she tells him that she has decided to marry Jesus Christ and thus becomes a nun. The movie is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Vishal Brardwaj.
