A biographical film directed by Avinash Dhvani is based on the life of a Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat who fought against the Chinese army during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. The story is set in the 1960’s when apart from the Sino-Indian War, the other challenges faced were the economic instability, famine and the religious fights along with the struggle for India.
Jaswant Singh Rawat was born in a poor family in Dehradun and belonged to the family of Garhwal. He grew up devoting his life towards his study and a responsible son, however due to several unforeseen incidents in his life, he decides to join the army at a very young age. He went on to take training in Garhwal in Pauri District and soon became the Soldier for the Garhwal Rifles Regiment. Shortly he was sent to defend the approaching Chinese Army from the North East Front to India. The film also essays the adverse circumstances in which Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat against the Chinese army for 72 hours’ single handed while the infantry had to step back.
