Jai, played by Akshay Kumar works as a forest ranger in Canada and is living with his girlfriend Sheila, played by Ayesha Takia. Jai’s father Jatin is the CEO of a oil company. Jai has acquired a special gift since a young age of seeing the past through photographs. He can enter a photograph and reamin there for a minute and tell exactly the events preceding the picture taken. His gift has been a boon as well as a risk for Jai, as he gets mentally and physically incapacitated due to the process. One day he learns that his father has drowned in a boating accident where Jai’s mother was also present along with his uncle Sunder, lawyer Anil and Adit who is Jatin’s surrogate son.
Jatin enters a photograph that his mother had taken just a few moments before the incident. First he sees that Sunder slips pills into his father’s champagne glass, on another attempt he sees that Adit has given Sunder the pills to put in his glass. It is revealed that Jatin wanted to give away his property for a good cause to Jai’s environment company thus to protect their share, the family members hatch a plan to kill Jatin. Later it is revealed that Jai has a twin brother and Sheila was merely pretending to love Jai, when she actually wanted him dead.
The movie is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by Shailendra Singh, Devika Bahudhanam, Matthew Brown,l Elahe Hiptoola, Wendy Knill, Bhushan Kumar, Sarita Patil, Praful Salunke and Rajesh Shah.
