Prakash Rathore, played by Anupam Kher receives a call from a man, played by Naseruddin Shah and asks him to release 4 militants or else he would blow up the bombs he has placed in several places around the city. The cops don’t know what to do and are left with little choice but to agree to his demands. The caller also alerts a local journalist and asks her to come to the police station to report the biggest news of her life. Meanwhile the cops bring the 4 militants and make them sit near a bench as instructed. The inspector however only keeps 3 of them and holds on to the 4th just to make sure that the caller will give the location of the other bombs.
During this time a bomb under the bench goes off and the militants die. The caller then reveals that his plan was to kill the militants and not save them because they were responsible for killing many people in the 2006 train bombings. He then asks them to finish the 4th militant on their own or the other bombs would go off. The caller then reveals himself to Rathore but he doesn’t divulge his name to anyone saying he doesn’t want his religion to be known.
