Dinkar, played by Shreyas Talpade is a sub-inspector with the Mumbai Police. His mother wants him to be like his father, who was very successful and won many accolades. But Dinkar is nowhere near that status and gets taunted by his mother every now and then. One day in a freak accident Dinkar loses his treasured gun that has the Bajrangbaliu sticker on it and starts to get upset and anxious.
Terrorist Janu comes to Mumbai to plants bombs in various places in the city and cause terror and havoc. He incidentally meets a beautiful bar dancer called Pearl and falls in love with her. He decides to give up his life of crime and become a better person for Pearl but sadly his boss arrives and decides to kill both Janu and Pearl. Meanwhile Dinkar unintentionally saves the Mayor’s life and also the police commissioner’s daughter and is hailed as a hero.
Dinkar thus becomes a hero overnight and a girl called Soniya falls in love with him seeing his bravery. He later helps diffuse a bomb during the Police show and also manages to find his precious gun. The movie is directed by Indrajit Nattoji and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The music is composed by Ram Sampath and Amartya Rahut.
