Roshni is the daughter of a late police inspector who wants to follow in his footsteps. She lives with her mother and sister Anju. She then joins the police force and gets the same title as her father once did. Brave and honest she begins her job as the head of a local police station. Soon she finds evidence to arrest a gangster named Dheeraj Kumar. He is taken to court where unfortunately the evidence is all proved false and he goes scot-free. This puts Roshni’s job in jeopardy and she has to quit. Dheeraj Kumar however doesn’t take the humiliation sitting down and takes revenge by sexually assaulting Anju, who goes into a coma.
Roshni then takes revenge by killing the goon’s associates. She is then arrested and tortured in prison. No lawyer is willing to take her case but a out of job lawyer named Avinash does but he has ulterior motives to do so. The film is directed by Avtar Bhogal and produced by Avtar Bhogal. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The story is written by Suresh Kumar Sharma and the screenplay is by Sanjoy Chowdhury and Joginder Shelly. The cinematography is by Anil Sehgal. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Dimple Kapadia, Sadashiv Amrapurkar,Anupam Kher,Joginder,Suhas Joshi,Anand Balraj,Deep Dhillon,Goga Kapoor,Shashi Puri,Ram Mohan,Avat Gill,Santosh Gupta,Sujata Mehta and Reema Lagoo.
