Bheema is brought up in a poor and conservative family. He is told by his father Deenu that his family and many generations have been the slaves of the wealthy Thakurs and he must too. Bheema however doesn’t agree with this and challenges it by befriending Thakur Daulat’s daughter Sonam as a child. He also gets into a physical fight with another Thakur’s son Raja. Bheema’s father however dies with a snake bite one day leaving him to fend for himself. Soon he grows up and Sonam is sent abroad to keep away from him. When she returns she finds that he is been arrested for killing a man named Shamsher Singh.
The film is directed by ShibuMitra and produced by Salim Khan. The music is composed by BappiLahiri and the screenplay is written by FaizSaleem. The cinematography is by Sushil Chopra. The star cast includes Raj Babbar, Birbal and MithunChakraborty.
