Aakrosh is a 2010 Bollywood social action thriller directed by Priyadarsan based on actual events which occurred in the state of Uttar Pradesh related to honour killings. The movie starred Ajay Devgn, Akshay Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Bipasha Basu and others in the main lead. The film told the story of three boys who go missing and the subsequent investigation by two CBI officers leading to some shocking revelations amidst a highly hostile tale.
Aakrosh begins with the disappearance of three local boys from an Uttar Pradesh village leading to much media and student protest probing a CBI investigation into the case. The two newly appointed CBI officers come across a major predicament as the local police and people show no interest in cooperating with the investigation. However Things get worse with the entry of a local ruffian like ruthless cop, adding insult to injury there raises other personal concerns among the officers. The case opens up shocking news about the local practice of honour killings involving big parties like the local politicians. The rest of the movie deals with their efforts to unravel the mystery in between constant pressure from the local authorities and other threats.
