Sapna, played by Amisha Patel, is brought up in a very conservative environment, where all her activitites are monitored. She isn’t given too much freedom to do anything and thus lives a very constricted life. She meets Rohit and falls in love with him but is afraid to freely love him or express her love as her father is brutally strict and her family will never understand her love. They want Sapna to marry their family friend’s son. Sapna who has had enough of army rules in the house, wants to run away with Rohit but is petrified.
Rohit takes Sapna to his hostel where she impersonates a boy. She befriends all of Rohit’s friends and wins their trust. Sapna’s family however, are close on the heels and beat her up for going against the family’s discipline. They then take Rohit in a secluded place and beat him to a pulp, where he barely manages to survive. Sapna meanwhile consumes poison and tells her family that she will survive only if she is with Rohit. Eventually her family has no choice but to give in and let them be together.
