Sam, played by Om Puri is a wealthy and successful businessman who is also a dotting father to his one and only daughter Pakhi, played by Sakshi Shivanand. He is extremely protective of his daughter and pampers her too much. Sam believes and is sure that no other man can love and care for Pakhi as much as he does. He doesn’t want his daughter to marry and go far away like all other daughters do. However a chance meeting with a man changes all that and his life is turned up side down.
Pakhi meets a young and dashing man named Samar, played by Priyanshu Chatterjee who is a suspended police officer. They instantly start liking each other and fall in love. Samar is an honest and good man and yet Sam finds it hard to accept him as his future son-in-law. He tries to find some fault in him but can’t find any. Slowly over time Samar makes a place in his future father-in-law’s heart and marries the love of his life Pakhi.
The movie is directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Bhushan Kumar. The music is composed by Nikhil Vinay. The cinematography is by Vijay Kumar Arora.
