Jai’s father who is a taxi driver and his mother, a music teacher, are both killed by goons and he is left to fend for himself. He tries to find the culprits but doesn’t succeed. HE later tries to raid a gold filled cargo of a smuggler but that doesn’t go as planned and Jai is in trouble and thus has to flee. Jai then takes refuge in a wealthy man’s house and claims to be the wealthy man’s fiancé who has just arrived from the US. The film is directed by Umesh Mehra and produced by Oarvesh Mehra. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the lyrics are written by Anand Bakshi.
The film’s star cast includes Saif Ali Khan, Mamta Kulkarni, Kader Khan, Pankaj Dheer, Saeed Jaffrey, Rakesh Bedi, Mohnish Bahl, Archan Puran Singh, Malay Chakravorty, Satish Shah, Navin Nischol, Sharat Saxena, Reeta Bhaduri and Sharmila Tagore.
