Amar and Mansi are married for many years and have a daughter. They live a comfortable life where Amar earns a steady income that is sufficient for the family. They however cannot have any extravagant expenses and thus live a middle class lifestyle. Mansi one day takes her daughter shopping and finds a beautiful pair of shoes. She makes her try it on but later on seeing the price she is shocked as they are too expensive. She cannot spend that kind of money and leave the shoes at the store and is about to walk out when a woman stops her. She feels bad for Mansi for wanting the shoes but not being able to buy them. She thus offers to pay for the shoes for her. Mansi is very reluctant at first but accepts thinking it is a kind hearted woman. However, little does she know that the woman will slowly drag her into the world of prostitution.
The movie is directed by Basu Bhattacharya and is produced by Basu Bhattacharya. The music is composed by Sharang Dev and the lyrics are written by Gulzar. The star cast includes Om Puri, Navin Nischol, Rekha, Sagar Arya, Dinesh Thakur, Daisy Irani and Anwesha Bhattacharya.
