Peter and Jesu belong to the fishing community and live close to the sea shore with their families. While Jesu is an orphan, Peter has been adopted and brought up by his aunt and uncle. The fishing community is however terrorized by a ruthless gangster named Alphonso. He has oppressed the people and always gets his way in anything he wants. No one dares cross his path or oppose his missions. One day by a stroke of luck, Peter happens to find some black pearls at the bottom of the ocean and is thrilled. He tells the rest of his friends and tells them to keep it a secret. But it doesn’t remain a secret for too long. Alphonso comes to know about the secret treasure lying under water.
The gangster sends his men to dive in and get all the black pearls for him. Little does he know that he has disturbed and awakened something dormant from a long time.One day Peter’s newly wed wife Suzy goes for a swim and never returns up. He then goes to look for her and is shocked to see many dismembered body parts emerging from the sea. Unfortunately the fishermen’s livelihood has been threatened by a gigantic man-eating shark.
The movie is directed and produced by Prem H Lalwani. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the lyrics are written by Dev Kohli and Rani Malik. The story and screenplay are written by Sachin Bhowmick. The choreography is by Habiba Rehman. The star cast includes Dharamendra, Hema Malini, Kader Khan, Amjad Khan, Ranjeet, Vinod Mehra, Keshto Mukherji,Girish Karnad,Shreeram Lagu,Asit Sen,Tom Alter,Ravi Kissen, Nafisa Ali, Sajjan, Padma Khanna and Leela Mishra.
