Sadhu Agashe, played by Nana Patekar, works with the crime branch. He is known to have a high reputation for his many encounter killings and is known to be a tough cop. He is however a loving husband and a father to a son. His subordinate Imtiaz is envious of his reputation and wants to surpass his encounter score but is not able to. Meanwhile a young officer named Jatin, played by Nakul Vaid, joins the team. He impresses Sadhu and Jatin is taken under his wings. This annoys Imtiaz even more. The entire police team reports to Commissioner Pradhan, played by Mohan Agashe, who is a brutally honest and ethical cop.
Sadhu is touch with an underworld don named Zameer who admires him for his no-nonsense and unforgiving attitude. They share a love hate alliance. Meanwhile Pradhan retires and a new commissioner named Suchak, is appointed. Suchak has a close ties with another underworld don named Rajashekhar. He constantly belittles Sadhu and is more in favor of Imtiaz. Sadhu’s world collapses when his wife is killed at Jatin’s reception. He then kills Rajashekhar’s right hand man. Suchak then orders Imtiaz to kill Sadhu but instead Imtiaz gets killed in a strange turn of events. Sadhu is ordered now to be shot at sight. Sadhu thus takes help from Zameer to escape India.
Meanwhile Sadhu kills Zameer and later kills Rajashree thus becoming a fugitive of law. The movie is directed by Shimit Amin and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. The music is composed by Salim-Sulaiman.
