Suru, played by Varun Dhawan and Vinnie, played by Shraddha Kapoor want to be the best dancers in the country and show their talent to the world. They form a group of friends from where they stay at Nalasopara and decide to participate in a national level dance competition titled ‘Hum Kisise Kum Nahin’ but fail miserably as the judges deem them to have copied the steps from another dance troupe. They are humiliated and called cheaters. The group goes back to doing their old jobs.
Desperate to prove the detractors wrong, Suru makes up his mind to give the competition one last try. He wants to participate in the hip-hop competition in Las Vegas. One day he sees a guy called Vishnu, played by Prabhudeva, show his dance moves to someone and he pleads with him to be their choreographer. After lots of refusals he finally agrees but Suru must arrange for the teams fund. He goes to his boss but he refuses and finally manages to get it from a friend’s uncle. The team wins the semi-finale competition in LA but Vishnu mysteriously takes the prize money and disappears. He actually goes to see his son who lives with his estranged wife.
Vishnu then comes back for rehearsals of the finale apologizing to the team members. They don’t win the competition but win the public hearts with their energy and rawness. ABCD 2 is directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor. The music is composed by Sachin-Jigar.
