Action Replayy is a 2010 Bollywood Science Fiction romantic comedy flick produced and directed by Vipul Shah based on a Guajarati play of the same name and the novel Time Machine. The movie had Akshay Kumar, Aiswarya Rai and Neha Dhupia in the lead. The movie dealt with the advanced theme of a man son back in time to find out the reason for the current loveless life of his parents.
Action Replayy begins by showing the pretty straight forward life of a couple who just goes through the moment living in their uneventful lives. However their hopeless son who after seeing his parent’s loveless life keeps on rejecting his girlfriend’s constant proposals afraid they might end up the same way. He is forced to use the time machine alone to travel back in time after a bizarre turn of events to stop his parents from splitting up after a silly fight. The movie then switches to the flashback mode where he goes on to be a part of his parent’s childhood and making efforts to make his mother fall in love with his low key father after befriending them in the past. The rest of the movie is left to show the aftermath of the time travel in their lives.
