Amarappa, a post graduate in M. Sc. (Agriculture Engg.) from the village of Hosahudya, held the belief that it is better for farmers to borrow loans from government banks rather than from zamindars. He continued to promote progressive farming practices and support farmers in their agricultural pursuits.
