Raj is a talented and hard working photographer. He meets the beautiful and smart Radha one day and both fall in love. Soon Raj and Radha get married and their life is blissful. Things take a turn for the worse one day when Raj has a horrific accident and is now confined to a wheelchair. He is totally now dependent on Radha as he also has lost his job. His treatment as well as to make ends meet, Radha is forced to take up a job as a governess to the wealthy Ashok Mehra’s daughter Mini. Raj is relieved that finally they will have money for his treatment. In reality Radha resembles Ashok Mehra’s late wife and Mini thinks that her mother is finally back home. This is the reason she was hired for the job immediately. Now it is up to Radha to decide if she wants to live a lavish life as Mrs. Mehra or leave everything and return back to her crippled husband. The film is directed by Lekh Tandon and produced by Vimal Kumar and Rajeev Kumar. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Rajesh Khanna, Raj Babbar, Rekha, Madan Puri, Asrani, Shabana and Sudhir Dalvi.
