Madhav is a tough and honest union leader and has many workers enrolled in his union. His arch rival is Rustom who will try everything to bring Madhav down and get as many workers enlisted in his union. Rustom has his henchman Krishnan who will stoop to any level to get him what he wants. One fateful day a worker named Chotelal loses his leg in a machine during working hours. This creates chaos among other workers and also gives Krishnan a good opportunity to prove his loyalty to his master Rustom. He convinces Chotelal to enroll in their union, so as to get maximum compensation package, better than what Madhav can offer. When Madhav comes to know of this, he is furious but is threading a thin line. He must now act wisely to put everything and all his workers at ease. The film is directed by Govind Nihalani and produced by Manmohan Shetty. The music is composed by Vanraj Bhatia and the screenplay is written by Vijay Tendulkar. The star cast includes Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Gopi, Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Rohini Hattangadi.
