Karuna Chaudhary has a life full of struggle and challenges when her former lover Anupam returns. Seeing him her husband kills himself. Now Karuna is left to look after the family business and also look after her son Alok who is now admitted in the mental hospital. Karuna then has a horrific accident and is wheelchair bound. She then hires a nurse Meeta, to look after her and is very impressed by her. She wishes that she should marry her son Alok who is now recoverd.
Things get complicated when Alok runs off to Bombay and then is brought back home. He falls in love with Meeta at the first meeting. Meeta in reality is in love with Siddharth and has no interest in Alok. Things get ugly when Alok is shot dead and Siddharth is the prime suspect. He will have to prove his innocence before it is too late. The film is directed by Kamal Majumdar and produced by B R Chopra. The music is composed by Salil Chowdhary. The star cast includes Amol Palekar, Ramesh Khanna, Parikshat Sahni, Rameshwari, Veena,
