Rajib, played by Palash Sen works at a multinational company in Mumbai. He is a dedicated employee who works hard and is quite indifferent and detached as far as his family are concerned. He lives with his wife Ananya, played by Ira Dubey who works as a receptionist at a firm. They have a little daughter named Kuhi who is looked after by their house help Pakhi while the couple are working.
The family decides to make a trip to Rajib’s hometown in Assam and spend some time relaxing with his family. There, little Kuhi meets Nalia Kai, who is the housekeeper. She introduces Kuhi to the world of birds, animals, trees, paddy fields and the green environment. The child is in awe of the natural beauty that envelops her hometown but doesn’t get to see it at all in Mumbai.
Kuhi realizes that Mumbai is full of so much artificial beauty and structures and in a while there will be no fresh air to breath. She questions and compares the living conditions of both places and seems to like it in natural surroundings better.
Aisa Yeh Jahaan is directed by Biswajeet Bora and produced by Maya Kholie. The music is composed by Palash Sen.
