Raj Malhotra, played by Akshay Kumar works as a product engineer for Voice Mobiles. He meets Priya, played by Kareena Kapoor and falls in love with her. He marries her and is expecting their first child together. At his company’s meeting, Raj is then announced as the new CEO by his boss’s wife Sonia, played by Priyanka Chopra. Raj is uncomfortable looking at Sonia but is happy to be promoted. Later Sonia invites Raj to her house when all the maids are away and tries to seduce him but he resists and accidentally switches on his phone recording where their entire conversation is recorded.
Later Raj storms out of her house and Sonia feels offended and files a case of sexual harassment on Raj. In court Priya who is unaware of all this is shocked. On reaching home Raj explains how he and Sonia used to date each other years back in South Africa where they first met. She was a successful model but didn’t want to marry or commit to him. Later when she got pregnant with Raj’s child, she aborted the baby without Raj’s consent. This infuriated Raj and he walked out on her and never looked back. Priya now takes up Raj’s case as his lawyer and presents the evidence in court about her abortion. She then accuses Sonia of sexual assault.
Not being able to take the humiliation of being exposed and called a sexual assaulter, Sonia commits suicide by jumping to her death. Raj is freed from all charges. The movie is directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced by Subhash Ghai. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
