Akaash, played by Kartik Aaryan is a happy go lucky and adventurous guy while Vani, played by Nushrat Bharucha is a timid and conservative girl. Both of them study at a college in Delhi. At a chance meet they both join in a group of four friends and have lots of fun and adventures together. Over time Akaash and Vani both become close and eventually fall in love. They start dating each other without Vani’s parent’s knowledge.
After graduation Akaash decides to pursue further studies in the UK while Vani goes back to her home town for her sister’s wedding. She confides in her sister about her relationship but she disapproves. That night there is news that Vani’s sister has eloped with her boyfriend. Her parents are humiliated and decide to get Vani married to a friend’s son before its too late. With the pressure and embarrassment of her sister’s actions she reluctantly agrees. Akaash on hearing this is hearbroken and miserable.
Vani’s husband Ravi, played by Sunny Nijar is a pompous selfish man who forces her to have sex with him every night. He stops her going out too much, working or pursuing further studies. One day her uncle and aunt visit her and suggest she comes and stay with them to attend her college reunion. She agrees and meets all her friends at the reunion including Akaash. He breaks down in front of her and after a while she tells him the truth about her marriage but afraid to divorce Ravi as her parents will object. Vani and Akaash reminisce their old days and rekindle their romance.
Later Akaash stays with his other friends in Vani’s house and observes how Ravi ill treats her. Unable to go on further with this torture, Vani tells everything to her parents in from of Ravi and they get her divorced and she finally marries Akaash. The movie is directed by Luv Ranjan and produced by Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak. The music is composed by Hitesh Sonik.
