Chandni is an over-ambitious girl who wants to find ways to get fast. She realizes that the only way for her to get rich without any efforts is to simply marry a wealthy man. She meets a man named Neeraj standing near a car and assumes he is rich and gets friendly with him. She plans to propose marriage to him but things take a different turn. Soon she learns that he is a struggling singer. She then dumps him and moves on to greener pastures. While goons are chasing Chandni she lands in the mansion of a wealthy man Dr. Rana and hope she can stay and lure him. Turns out that he treats her like a daughter and she feels ashamed. Meanwhile Neeraj is planning to become a successful singer but sees that Chandni has a good voice too and has started singing with the help of Dr. Rana. He confesses his love to Chandni and after a few refusals she accepts. On a fateful day, Neeraj has a horrible accident and looses his voice but decides to help Chandni in her ambitions and moves out of her life. She however misunderstands that he has left her for being poor. The film is directed by Shakti Samanta and produced by Rajesh Khanna Kusum Nirala. The star cast includes Tina Munim, Rajesh Khanna, Shashi Kapoor, Om Prakash, Deven Verma, Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu, Sushma Seth, Geeta Siddharath, Urmila Bhatt, Anjana and Bindu.
