Based in Bombay and Calcutta, a former Naxalite is forced to
run from the cops and narrowly escapes being shot by them.
He then settles in Bombay and starts his life afresh with a
respectable job. Soon he meets a stunning young woman and
both fall in love and get married. The woman thinks of her
husband as an idealistic man who not only respects woman
and their freedom but also is in support of gender equality.
Their life begins in sweet marital bliss until, she is asked to
work as a model for a top ad agency to make some extra cash
to get the house running. She agrees and begins modeling.
As the months pass by, the ad agency professionals demand
that she poses for some explicit pictures. Finding it demeaning,
she complains to her husband, who shockingly is ok with it.
The woman is devastated at his behavior and jumps of from
their newly acquired apartment floor and kills herself. The film
is directed by Budhadeo Das Gupta and produced by K B S. The
music is composed by Das Gupta. The star cast includes
Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Deepti Naval and Mahesh Bhatt.
