To announce the happy news of her getting married, Freida, played by Sarah Jane Dias invites all her friends home for a little get together. Her friends include Jo, played by Amrit Maghera, an aspiring film actress, Su, played by Sandhya Mridul, an entrepreneur, Nargis, played by Tannishtha Chatterjee, an activist, Mad, played by Anushka Manchanda, a singer and Pammy, played by Pavleen Gujral, a trophy wife.
They all drink and eat and many secrets are revealed. They decide to take a trip to Goa to celebrate Frieda’s bachelorette. A group of men starts to bully and eve tease them but the women abuse them and humiliate them.
A while later the girls learn that the person Freida is marrying is Nargis and are quite shocked. They congratulate them and decide to party the night away. During the course of the celebration a nasty argument breaks with Jo and the girls about her unusual accent. Distraught she walks away. A few hours later when the girls go in search of Joe they find her dead body on the beach, raped and murdered. Su’s daughter turns out clicked pictures of Jo while on the beach and they realize the boys who were teasing them earlier have killed her. Su takes her gun and shoots 3 of the rapists, while Mad comes along and shoots the remaining, killing them instantly.
At Jo’s funeral all the girls give an emotional speech in memory of her with their personal equation they had with her. Angry Indian Goddesses is directed by Pan Nalin and produced by Gaurav Dhingra and Pan Nalin.
They call the police who let’s out profanities to the women and judging their lifestyles, trying to shame them.
